QHY CCD problem with frame dimensions

That's what I was afraid... no response.

In the case of frame dimensions, in spite not being the ideal, the frame size could be set directly and automatically by code on the INDI Control panel UI Fields (the read only ones) as a workaround
or assuming a fixed dimension on the driver code when this dimension returns 0 for this camera model. Or even asking the sensor dimensions like the DSLR Driver.
The hanging after stop problem however is way difficult to debug.

Let me look at the QHY6 in the INDI-QHY driver. I believe the driver gets it's frame dimensions from the QHY SDK.

What version of SDK do you have installed? I will do some checking on my side.

One thing I see is your SDK is older.

How is your setup currently? Are you running INDI-Server on a raspberry pi?

Can you install the latest SDK?

Let me know.

Yes it does try to get the dimensions from the SDK but its getting 0 x 0 filled on INDI Panel.
In my case I am using the latest provided by INDI (21.10.26) but I have also tested 21.9.10 and QHY own version 21.10.12.
They all have both problems.

Ok. in the image you posted it shows 21.3.13. It does show 21.10.26 now?

I will do some digging.

Excellent, you must be on their "good customer list" :)

Where do I get the software they suggest? (for RPI).

Greetings guys,

I am not happy to see that you also have the same problems with QHY 6 and the problems still persist. But I am happy that you are chasing to find a solution. I found this manual for the live frame mode. www.qhyccd.cn/file/repository/publish/SD...YCCD_SDK_EN_2018.pdf . I think " Live frame mode" gets installed with the latest SDK you have installed. I am currently abroad and I will be back home to test my QHY 6 at the end of December. Good luck to everyone.

George.

Hi again.

Yes I have already tested the live and still frame samples and they both work without any problems at all.
But INDI problems persist anyway.
I did that test when I installed the sdk manually from QHY also following that PDF file.

Anyway tonight I will test again and post results as asked.

"Where do I get the software they suggest? (for RPI)."

It gets installed when you install the SDK from the downloads page at QHY.
here : www.qhyccd.com/html/prepub/log_en.html#!log_en.md

The RPi version is the ARM Download version, most likely the Arm_64 for most recent RPi.
