Hello, people. I hope, you can help me with my Meade DSI 3 Pro camera. I'm new in CCD astrophoto. Last weekend I made some first test sky images with this CCD. What I got, you can see on attached screenshots. What can I do to get normal CCD images?
Some information about my setup.
My astrophoto laptop is Acer Aspire One with Debian Buster.
The software was ccdciel with INDI built from sources.
The telescope is a apochromate 80/480, the mount is HEQ5 Pro.Hello, people. I hope, you can help me with my Meade DSI 3 Pro camera. I'm new in CCD astrophoto. Do you see a gradient like that in your bias frames? Are the m51 and m27 images that you posted calibrated or raw lights? How long are these exposures? Do they gradients start at a specific exposure time?

I have a DSI I Pro that I only use for guiding but do not see a gradient like this. Of course, I'm only exposing for a few seconds...

I think the driver will disable the readout amplifier for exposures over 10s (not that this looks like amp glow). You might verify that the "DSI III Exposure" property is set to "Vdd Off".

You could also try a different USB cable. It would also be really helpful if you could capture an image with the same sort of conditions using the Meade Envisage program to see if the same issue exists there.

Thanks,
Ben

Thank you for your reply. I uploaded images to google drive.  I am not a specialist, but bias frame looks good (exptime = 0.0001 sec). All images are raw lights (uncalibrated). All images (unguided) have 60-sec exposure time. Except M57: 300 sec singleshot, guided. About specific exptime. Maybe. I saw this gradient on 10-sec images. Test flats also look strange with exptime = 0.02. I checked option Vdd, it was set to OFF. I tried different cables (the native one is too short). The images from Envisage I also uploaded to Google Drive.
May be, I always must to use filters (L, for example)? Or may be, I must to close side holes on the camera, where shipped the filter slide?

Yes, the gradients are almost certainly caused by the light coming in through the filter slide gap. You could try taping over them to seal them up. I cut the wings off the nose piece so it lays flat (like the DSI color cameras) since I never had any intention of using the filter slide.

Thanks,
Ben
