I had just fired up kstars to test some stuff with the FITS Viewer. The star map was centered on the last object, but was not showing BG image (I have HiPS/DSS enabled), which didn't worry me at that point. I selected 'File->Open Image' and loaded one of the FITS files I had recorded last night, and zoomed in with the mouse wheel.

At that point, the star map started blinking two images that obviously were two distorted parts of the image I had loaded. I've attached a short screen capture of that. Changing zoom level in the viewer sometimes changed the blinking areas.

It looks like there's a memory or cache overlap between the two? Is that intended, or could it be related to various crash issues with the FITS Viewer involved?
