You are, my sir, genius! Solving as baby both internal and online(online little better).

I was going mad already :)

Will that make it do a blind solve?

Would that do a blind solve?
Sorry for some strange reason I seem to be getting multiple posts

Probably yes, but blind solve is much better than no solve at all.
 I always use sync option and I see if solve is near my target.

Also internal solver does not work at all, but I do not care too much as online is working.

I had a similar problem when all the solvers suddenly stopped working from within Ekos. I ended up redoing all config from start with a fresh install.
Wish there was a simple way to backup all the Ekos related config at one go.

Since astrometry.net is down, coming back to internal... Any ideas, or more detailed logs?

The button that Grimaldi posted is indeed the one to clear out any custom stuff you did and go back to default profiles. That should essentially be the same as resetting everything and starting over. Of course there are other settings for the external programs, using image scale, and using image position that make a really big difference. The good news, is that you don't really have to go digging through configuration files like we used to have to do since Stellarsolver and the local astrometry solver with stellarsolver will use the configuration you can see in the Ekos options. So there really are just a few things that can go wrong.

The typical problems I see that people have with solving is that their position or scale information is incorrect and they are trying to solve with that information. But it looks like you aren't using the info and are doing a blind solve.

If you are doing a truly blind solve and it still doesn't solve, then most likely either you don't have the right index files, or you aren't getting enough good stars in your image to solve. If you can post an image or a link in this forum, I can try to solve it and let you know what index file solved it so you can make sure you have it installed or I can let you know if there is information in the scale or position in the image that is messing it up.

However, I do think I know what is wrong here. The best profiles for solving for most people's setups are 1-Default and 4-ParallelSmallScale since I designed those for small backyard telescopes or smaller observatories. I noticed that you are using 3-LargeScaleSolving, which is the one I designed for larger fields like those captured with DSLR lenses. I made specific profiles for different setups because with that extra information it will solve much faster.

Hi,

Thank you very much on your help.
Here is link to fits:
drive.google.com/file/d/1KbP_Q0LzngSehU1...Du/view?usp=drivesdk

I do use larg scale indeed as my scooe is 330mm FL so. i thought that is best option. I did play around with other options but maybe I had wrong combination.

I am using blind solving as I do not care much about speed, and when I gave parameters everything went haywire and not even astrometry.net worked.

I remember when I first tries stellar solver everything was perfect, and I had to mess something up :/
Here is small scale logs:

Ok I just ran your first image, solver.fits in the StellarSolverTester program I made to test Solving and here are the results:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Starting Internal StellarSolver Astrometry.net based Engine with the 4-SmallScaleSolving profile. . .
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Solve Log Odds: 99.4057
Number of Matches: 19
Solved with index: 4108
Field center: (RA,Dec) = (102.905, -15.207) deg.
Field center: (RA H:M:S, Dec D:M:S) = (06:51:37.103, -15:12:25.164).
Field size: 66.405 x 49.7563 arcminutes
Pixel Scale: 1.9644"
Field rotation angle: up is -13.1734 degrees E of N
Field parity: negative

Successfully solved with child solver: 6
Shutting down other child solvers
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Internal Extractor w/ StellarSolver took a total of: 0.526 second(s).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I also tried it with the LargeScaleSolving profile as you did, and it did not solve since the field size is 66.405 x 49.7563 arcminutes

And then I tried the second image you sent solver2.fits and here are the results:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Starting Internal StellarSolver Astrometry.net based Engine with the 4-SmallScaleSolving profile. . .
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Solve Log Odds: 215.27
Number of Matches: 35
Solved with index: 4107
Field center: (RA,Dec) = (105.673, -8.49984) deg.
Field center: (RA H:M:S, Dec D:M:S) = (07:02:41.505, -08:29:59.426).
Field size: 66.5251 x 49.8034 arcminutes
Pixel Scale: 1.9671"
Field rotation angle: up is -13.2995 degrees E of N
Field parity: negative

Successfully solved with child solver: 6
Shutting down other child solvers
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Internal Extractor w/ StellarSolver took a total of: 0.516 second(s).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And just like the other one, I tried the LargeScaleSolving profile and it did not solve.

If you look in the parameters of the large scale solving profile, it makes the minimum width about 10 degrees, but your images are about 1 degree, kind of like the image scale on my telescope, which is interesting since I have twice the focal length you do, I think.

Note that they solved with 4107 and 4108, so you should make sure you have these index files (and the ones nearby them) installed.

Hi,

I set it now to 4 - small scale, reset to default, and I am. getting mixed results, bit atleast I am getting some results. When I do not use "Use scale" I get better results, but I have most ofmindex files loaded, should I remove ones I do not use to increase chance to solve?

So. i am. having mixed results with basically same image. first solve is successful and it is no scale but use position, as are next 4.

Then I turned on scale, then turn off position then turn off both, nothing helps. Would it help if I remove index files I do not use? I see your solver isnalways solved with "Solver 6" is that the thread based? I have rpi 4, so only 4 threads. Why always so high number?
