I am OK to investigate about the mount, one year old, and PHD2. But remenber that in the same conditions, I have no issue with 3.5.9.

I made a new card with the last version of Kstars/Ekos/INDI. Copied all config files.
I tested it 2 days ago.
The problem of calibration is still the same: Unable to calibrate under EKOS because of no motion on RA but PHD2 has no problem to calibrate.
Weird because all worked fine 2 or 3 versions back.

I have the same Problem with newes 3.6.1 stable.I know that everything was fine a few weeks ago.
I guide with OAG and CEM40.
Attached are pictures of my optical train configuration and logfile.
I can rule out an error with the mount.

The log actually shows everything going correctly as far as optical train goes. I see it calibration RA+ and then when it switches to RA-, the star doesn't move back but drifts further away. The commands are correct though, so there must be something else that is causing this. Maybe there is a star detection issue but I doubt it.

That's very strange.
The last time I used my setup was on October 4th. Then everything worked, but with a different optical train without OAG.
I work with the stable PPA. The bug must be somewhere in the updates since that date. Is there something I can test? Best during daylight?

Due to a bad weather since the end of September, I still haven't been able to do any more tests. Wait and see !

You need to enable pulses to the mount. They are currently off...

Thank you.
I saw that too and activated them all. The result remained the same.
But I wonder why they were all off after the update.
Maybe I can test them again today.

I just did another test with another optical train. The problem remains.
Calibration is not possible.
Then I installed PHD2 and the calibration also fails with PHD2.
I have now checked the mechanics of my mount. But I do not see any errors. There is no play and everything is fine with the belts.

I don't know what to do and it's a bit frustrating.
Everything was working 3 weeks ago with the exact same setup and the only thing I've done since is install the latest stable ppa.

Probably worth going back to basics:
1. Can Ekos move the mount in RA and DEC and does it move correctly (there is a mount control popup on the Mount tab)?
2. Have you tried calibrating in the best part of the sky (roughly the intersection of the Meridian and celestial equator)?

If yes to the above its worth posting another log and screenshots of your config

Thank you John

Goto and alignement with the slew to target function are working fine.
So Ekos can move the mount.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough for further testing yesterday.
I'll see if I can do some dry tests soon.

I think I have solved the problem.
After a few unsuccessful attempts today, I created a new profile with the same equipment and the same optical train.
And suddenly everything works as it should.
I will try this with the other profile and train. But first I want to take a few pictures.
