Hi
When align is called from the scheduler, it fails to activate the main camera for plate solving.

Calling align manually works fine.

Any ideas anyone?
TIA,Steve

Apologies for the noise..
Could someone with a canon dslr and eqmod confirm that an align called from the scheduler works OK from the latest kstars ppa build?
Just a yes or no is fine.
Cheers and TIA

Yesterday's update was to version: 6:3.6.1+202210140449~ubuntu22.04.1
Does anyone know if today's update:

Setting up kstars-bleeding-data (6:3.6.1+202210151230~ubuntu22.04.1) ...
Setting up kstars-bleeding-dbg (6:3.6.1+202210151230~ubuntu22.04.1) ...
Setting up kstars-bleeding (6:3.6.1+202210151230~ubuntu22.04.1) ...

Fixes this?

TIA,
Steve

Same here, scheduler remain in "Rotation" and not switch to Alignment.
I return to solid 3.6.0 version

Steve, I did a quick test with your scheduler and sequence files and indeed, alignment hangs. Is it possible that the configured FITS file in the scheduler causes the problem? I know, there should be a warning about a missing file, but this seems the only difference to a working schedule I tested.

I only see "soul"? Shouldn't it full path to the FITS file? I found issues with rotations that I'm working on at any rate. In case a manual rotation is needed, scheduler keeps going and does not wait.

Thanks for taking a look.

Ah, OK. The fits file has to have its full path. I thought it took the path from that specified in the Capture module.

Rather than hang, maybe a popup:
'FITS file cannot be found, please check that its full path exists.'
Would help get the user going again?

Just to confirm, If I change to coordinates only:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SchedulerList version='1.5'>
<Profile>Default</Profile>
<Job>
<Name>soul</Name>
<Priority>10</Priority>
<Coordinates>
<J2000RA>2.93186</J2000RA>
<J2000DE>60.3933</J2000DE>
</Coordinates>

i.e. WITHOUT the <FITS>soul</FITS>
It aligns fine.

I'll test with the full path to the fits file too and report if there are any issues. I attribute this to in-the-dark user error!

@Jasem: there is no ritation or rotators involved in this case.

Thanks again and clear skies,
Steve

Right, without a FITS file the scheduler takes the target coordinates and does not try to extract them from a given FITS file.

And yes, there should be a warning...

But editing scheduler files manually is only for the brave ones :-)

Hi
The error now is that the file does not exist, even if t does.
Workaround is to simply use the coordinate only.
Cheers,

I made a change to it today and just tested and it works fine, kstars 3.6.2 nightly would have it later tonight.
