Issue with optical train

Hello,
on a fresh Stellarmate 17.5, I setup aperture and focal of the simulation telescope (and guider finder) into the Telescope Indi panel tab, the camera ccd and guide, then create the optical train simulation after the connection. I can capture an image, but when I want to do a plate-solve or guiding, I have an error message: aperture and focal are absent. Please verify the optical train. What's wrong ?

You need to select scope in the optical train, not in INDI control panel. Does this resolve the issue?

Yes, the simultor telescope is selected into the optical train with the camera and guide simulator.
Into the indi panel, I set up the aperture and focal.

There is a "scope" dropdown in the optical train. You need to select the scope/DSLR lens there. Do not edit INDI control panel directly.

OK I understand. But the procedure is not natural for me.
Everyone knows all theirs devices, so it is not a problem to create the devices database then the optical trains, before the connection. And then to use them.
