Hi
RAM, no mirror lock.
Can you also capture after hitting 'preview' at any other exposure time except the time you selected for the preview?
TIA

** The latest nightly is looking VERY good: the PhD guiding now doesn't throw the popup:)
Will report with logs later, after moonrise.

Hi
Build: 2018-09-01T10:49:35Z
Much better. Not sure if we can do better than this. 2 sessions on consecutive nights. Lost a little over 100px. Is that within the limits what we can expect?

A few lost guide stars, not sure why. The scheduler recovered some, but not all and manual intervention was required (have also sent the logs also to Andy @ PHD2).
logs: drive.google.com/open?id=1I0iVUhlBrjRm7-93nWh7378Pal-s6dhb

Also fixed in this build, PHD2 -without- popups: www.indilib.org/forum/ekos/3795-guider-a...ssage-with-phd2.html
Anyway, great job and thanks for the fixes,
Steve

Maybe dithering? maybe guiding? For consecutive-nights setup, I usually set a "master" FITS that I use as reference and scheduler would use that to align to.

Ah, ok. I tried that before but it's not clear what is correct as I still had to enter RA and DEC coordinates into the scheduler. Does the fits image take priority?

Suggestion: if a file is entered, remove the need to enter coordinates?
TIA.

The RA/DE coordinates have to be of the desired object of course, so the scheduler to slew to that area. Then alignment process takes over and solves the FIT, slews again to its center (which shouldn't be too far from where object is), then performs the usual alignment process. So you don't need to manually edit the RA/DE, use whatever values of the object from KStars and then simply select the master fits file you want to align to.

Quite often the coordinates of centre frame are empty sky. To begin a scheduler entry, the ability to copy coordinates from kstars would be really useful to populate the scheduler coordinate boxes. Then, after the first session we can use the load solve slew method.
Cheers and thanks again,
Steve

OMG, yes.Thanks. Recent, or me just blind?!
That copies JNow from Kstars, but the scheduler wants J2000 :(

It copies JNow, J2000, and Horizontal Coordinates.

Ok, thanks. Which should I enter in the scheduler? What is passed to align? Is there a conversion between the two modules?
TIA.

Scheduler takes J2000. Everything else in Ekos deal with JNow, including Align.

Does align convert from J2000 to JNow? I'm trying to trace the artefacts at the edges of my images. Thanks.
