Problem with the internal Guide

Hi guys! :)
I am considerably surprised by the latest updates of Ekos and especially by the fact that many of the initial bugs have been now completely solved.
Today, I'd like to have some suggestions about an issue in guiding with the internal guide.
I use an ASI 120 MM-CS as guide camera, connected to an OAG in my Celestron C8, reduced at f/6.3. I connected the guide camera to the mount using an ST4 cable.
After Ekos starts the calibration process, after few seconds the movements of the mount bring the guide star outside the FOV, so that I can not finish the calibration and consequently I can not start the guiding process.
For this reason, I am forced to use PhD2 as external guiding software.
How can I solve this problem? I checked that the ST4 cable was well plugged into the appropriate connectors.
Thank you in advance for your attention and for your availability.

Try this. In the guiding module, click on options. Under Calibration, lower the pulse length, and or fewer iterations.
