When setting up to use PHD2 to test pulse guiding using AstroPhysicsExperimental I stumble using the PHD2 wizard.
The first screenshot shows the dialog boxes encountered when selecting guiding through the mount which is what I want, and the second when selecting the guide camera. The mount (pulse guding) path indicates the INDI mount will not provide pier side and pointing information. In the ST4 path there seems to be acceptance of the INDI mount specification for such information.
When the PHD2 wizard was run the mount driver was set to pulse guiding.
Does this mean using pulse guiding with PHD2 will require recalibration after each slew or meridian flip?
On the ekos side the profile was changed to select phd2 guiding and the server started. The guider was changed to use the mount for guiding. The mount driver pulse guiding button was selected. Ekos was up and connected to the mount driver when the PHD2 wizard was run.
On the PHD2 side it is a new build from source, and the first thing run was the wizard setup so no setup prior to the dialog boxes shown. I was wondering if it just a limitation of the mount that it does not provide pier side information. But it seemed odd that the warning messages are not received when ST4 guiding is selected.
Hi
By choosing 'On camera' you have selected st4 guiding which does not supply side of pier information. Lose the Aux mount selection and choose your mount directly in the mount dialogue instead of 'on camera'.
HTH and clear skies,
