Hey - I'm using cloudwatcher (weather watcher) driver and love it. HOWEVER sometimes I'm testing the dome and want to open shutter. (clouds aren't REALLY unsafe).
So I go to open the nexdome shutter and it says won't open shutter unsafe weather.

This is all understandable. HOWEVER - to over ride it I disconnect the weather watcher driver from Ekos. (I wait for some time to pass).
and dome will still not open and says weather unsafe?

I then tried changing SNOOP for the dome from (weather watcher to null). and it will said unsafe?
I don't want to screw up my parameters to over ride it. (there isn't a way to save another "test" profile of settings for the dome. (or any device).

What can I do to over ride? Maybe a check box would be added to the nexdome driver that says [ ] override safety ?

Yes I also noticed this too but its ok. Just dont start the weather driver, you can have another profile without your weather driver and use it for overriding the dome. This is what I do anyway

Weather watcher listen to the 3 critical parameters (rain, cloud and wind) coming from the weather station. If one of them is in the danger range the driver triggers a shutdown message.
My dome is not a nexdome but what I do is simply raise the thresholds to avoid this.

I added safety override to weather drivers.

This is what I ended up doing. But not ideal to shut down for the night and close profile and load another to tweak the dome slot. Since this is a ever evolving program I thought I'd mention it as a problem for future tweaks. I imagine there is a list of "TO DO's" somewhere = )

ODD loading another profile without weather watcher does work, so why not disconnection of the device in my main profile?
After the dome is closed and home I always have to nudge it a bit to get the charger contacts aligned.

I don't want to raise the thresholds. They are set (and that takes time) for safe use. With SGP I went to bed and trusted it to shut down when clouds rolled in. I'm not nearly that secure in Ekos yet. My thresholds are tuned. I don't want to have to mess with them to nudge the dome.

GEEZE you're amazing. When I use to request things for SGP they'd fight me tooth and nail as to why they didn't want to do it. Or couldn't do it. I simply wanted to see temps in F in addition to C or in place of. (EASY) (option)

Many wanted a dark theme. (that was impossible?) ah really.

I did get them to add a "slave" check box on the main control panel rather than buried where it was originally.

Thank you Jasem. Now I have to update from a nightly build to get this right? I always fear it won't be stable? (I read about warnings). So do I wait for a offical release or is that exagerating the quality of a nightly build?
