@Astronerd:
What case is that, can you send a link?
Is there any kind of cooling involved (fan? heat sink?)
My Pi4 sure runs hot.

What is that arm on the back, an antenna?
What did you have to adapt for the Pi4?

Thanks,
Hy

The black case or the clear acrylic one above that....??
The acrylic one is dedicated for the rpi4 and comes with built in fan and heatsink
The black one was for an rpi3, it has a hole for a fan but had to cut out the side for the dual HDMI connectors, and the front panel where the Ethernet and USB ports are, plus make the audio and power socket holes a tad bigger, all with a hobby file, took a while..that case was off eBay, but don't have the link anymore..
The black right angle thing is a right angle USB C to USB Micro adapter, so I could use my old rpi3 power supply with the rpi4... :)

@hy

I would probably download the stable release zip file. I don’t think that Jasem regularly puts releases on git. I might be wrong. But I do know that there should always be zip files put on the kde website with each release.

I printed this one, fits perfectly. Including a 30 mm fan, which fits quite snug.
Haven't tried it out yet, but looks good so far.
I would be happy to print one and send it to you.
Thanks for everything you have been doing for the community!

I was inspired by the case modification that Astronerd posted. So I took one of my Raspberry Pi 3 cases and modified it on my drill press so that the connectors would fit. So far it seems to be working pretty well. I left the one side with the USB connections open since the panel for the 3B really doesn't work there too well. I think this will work until I get a case for the Pi 4 that I'm happy with. So far it appears to be averaging about 55 degrees C, which is better than it did when it wasn't in the case.

Nice job.. :)
I did ma abe to adapt the panel around the USB ports, it it was very fiddly, as there was very little metal left around the edges, I thought it could just be reversed to fit, but that did not work.. :(

@Rlancaste, OK, I'll bite: How do you like that Fay Tun WiFi usb adapter in your picture?
Clearly the Pi's internal WiFi is pretty mediocre, and I've been using a travel router, but something like that would be more convenient...
Anything special to get it to work on the Pi?
Seems to get a pretty high percentage of 1-star ratings on amazon

Yes, installing the driver was a little complicated. I have a script in my AstroPi3 repo that installs the driver for the device, after that it has worked pretty well.

I bought two of these for £15 off eBay...they have the raylink chipset so works out of the box with rpi3 and 4, no need to install any drivers...
I use the internal WiFi for the internet if I need and this adapter for the Stellarmate hotspot... :)

My Flirc case came in, and I've been using that the last few days.
Very happy with it. flirc.tv/more/raspberry-pi-4-case
It's $11.40. No fan, but the entire case is a heat sink.
The pi runs much cooler now.

This case works perfectly. It is set up for the installation of a 30mm fan. I tested it out with the RPi4 by running a stress test for 10 min straight, maxing out all CPUs to 100% continuously. The CPU temp never rose above 63 deg Celsius.

Baseline CPU temp is 48 deg Celsius at 22 deg room temperature.
