Latest Kstars, Ekos, Indi

Using a canon 6D. When shooting, it is opening up the shutter for what seems like too long. It then throws this out.

It is saying the exposures failed, then sending the images?

It also wont capture an image with foucs or framing.

Seems to work with these settings:
DSLR settings
Force Bulb: OFF
Transfer: FITS
Capture Target: RAM
SD Image: Delete

Main issue was caused by Capture target set to SD. Now I can't get the exposure times to change.

Okay, figured that out too. The 6D has a Manual and a Bulb setting. I had to put it on Bulb.

Right, cameras with a separate "B" mode like the 6D or 5D need to be operated differently from other cameras. As a rule of thumb the camera should be set to "M" mode when taking flats or exposures of less than 1 second (moon, planets) and "B" mode for lights and darks of 1s or more. Modifications that should make the process of taking flats more convenient with such "M/D" cameras have been implemented just recently. Further improvements have to be made but in order to profit from these most recent modifications you should updated to the nightly release, if possible.

Oh, and VERY IMPORTANTLY, if operating the camera in "M" mode, make absolutely sure that the "FORCE BULB" option (Indi -> Canon DSLR tab -> Options) is set to OFF. Even if you save these settings, they might change once you restart Ekos so you have to disable FORCE BULB again. We're currently working on improvements...

It appears the latest nightly has a problem with the DSLR driver. So better wait for that to be fixed before switching to nightlies.

A fix is available in GIT and should be in tomorrow's nightly build.
