If we assume that one's scope is pointed at an object, centered in the scope, KStars reticle is also pointing at the object, and that the scope can be moved via USB connected to a SynScan hand unit and a remote INDI Server, is it possible to sync the SynScan unit via KStars/Ekos/INDI so that the accuracy of KStars-directed moves are more accurate? Or is one relegated to re-aligning from scratch to correct small variances?
I am aware there are methods involving guide scopes and/or plate solving, but for the sake of this particular question, let's not cloud the water with those presently.
Yes. Right click the object in KStars that you have centered in your FOV and select SynScan -> Sync. You should see the coordinates on the SynScan display get updated.
