CCD FOV rotation in Kstars

Hi folks!

Anyone knows how to rotate de CCD FOV in kstars/ekos?

I can configure "virtual" customized FOVs and the rotation works, but when I conncet my camera and activate de CCD FOV (the yellow frame) the rotation is always the same besides I change CCD FOV in INDI --> WCS tab.

Any ideas?

Reset rotation to 0 or set it to 180 (depending how you mount your CCD). Lock to Celestial Pole will do the job for you

I tried with 0 and 180, the CCD FOV doesn't change.

this is calculated by the align-procedure.

I mean rotation when defining FOV marker. I don;t think you need to play with the one in CCD driver. Plate solving will show real frame FOV and orientation.

Ok I undestand now, when I do plate solving it will show me the CCD FOV rotation correctly.
So what is the CCD FOV parameter for in WCS tab?

The value in the INDI Control Panel is set by the astrometry solver, so don't change it, it is updated automatically.

I'm having this same issue.
There doesn't appear to be any way to manually change the CCD FOV rotation. Is there any way to set this without doing a plate solve?

You can add your own FOV and set the rotation to whatever you like.

Yeah that's what I'm doing, but I just thought you'd be able to manually change the rotation on the CCD frame (the orange one). Is there any reason you can't manually change that one?

One FOV is solver FOV, so that is set by the solver. The other is your camera which you can control the FOV... maybe the only thing missing is an easy way to do without opening the dialog box.
