So the weather here as the summer months come to an end is pretty poor, but I have been working with the simulators to check out the new features that have recently been added.
A lot seems to work better than before, and I'm looking forward to the multi-star guiding in the real world.
Something I have noticed with the Telescope Simulator with the alignment module is that if I slew to a target point and capture and solve and the solved field is >30arcsecs out then as expected the alignment module attempts to slew to target and re-solve.
This is where it appears that the newly solved capture doesn't appear to have slewed very much with a correction.
Attach a log file, alignment begins around line 582.
I have encountered the same same problem with my "real" setup. I haven't checked the logs yet, and it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, I can hear that the mount motors are not engaged long enough. I can't rule out my hardware, but suspect a software issue.
