Hi guys!

I just tried to customize some sounds for notifications in Ekos, but I don't know why it seems that they do not work.
I attach a screenshot for one of these settings.
Have you some ideas?
Thank you in advance.

I was forgetting...
I am not able to listen to the selected sound also by clicking on the "play" symbol next to the "Play a sound" option in the Notification window.
However the *.ogg file I selected works perfectly if it is opened outside Ekos.

I take it perhaps the KDE packages required for sound aren't installed properly on MacOS?

I really don't know knro. I just executed as usual the MacOS version of the installer downloaded from the official site of Kstars.
Sincerely I don't know. How can I test it?

I've asked Robert Lancaster about it, he builds the DMG for the KStars on MacOS. Let's wait and see.

I don't understand the issue exactly. Do the default sounds currently work on your system, or is it just customizing them that doesn't work. Currently the sounds do work on my machine and I have latest version of MacOS I think.

Jasem, KDE packages can't be installed on MacOS the way they are on Linux. The dynamic libraries required for the sounds to work as well as the sounds themselves are in the app bundle in the DMG and should be copied to your system when you drag and drop the app bundle to your machine.

Hi! Thank you for your reply!
The default sounds work perfectly in the system. The problem occurs customizing and loading them as shown in the picture I attached in my post.
I am working on a MacOS Mojave (v. 10.14.6 ).

Ok, I just tried it and a sound I put on my desktop works just fine. Are you sure the path is correct? Are there spaces?

Yes, I am sure about the path. I tried to load another sound but it does not work the same. There are not spaces in the path.

I am wandering if I need a *.ogg file reader installed in my machine. Or are these files automatically known by Kstars?

The dynamic library for reading the ogg files is in the app bundle
