I believe it is. But can not confirm.
I just use my guidescope for PAA. But a guide-cam with a 50mm CCTV lense will also do the trick of you are inclined to DIY.
I use Ekos Polar Align tool to align my EQ6 with RC 8" @ 1170mm or 1600mm using my QHY183m. Final error from polaris is between 0° 0' 0'' and 0° 0' 30''.
Polemaster is not necessary at all and Polemater application is old and conflict with other libraries
Regarding aligning with a small FoV scope (RC8 or like mine C8 @2000mm even with a larger sensor camera), unless you are reasonably (very) close to the pole, I assume that you need to iterate the polar alignment quite a few times to get closer and closer to the pole on each pass as the correction vector will extend well outside the FoV of the camera.
