Meridian Flip and other meridian issues with iOptron CEM25P

Yes, the hour angle was set very close after crossing Meridian because that was suggested in this thread earlier and for others this is working (Ekos HA 0.02 and in HC 3 deg) - that´s what makes me wonder why settings that work perfectly fine for others aren´t working for my setup. I´m still convinced that it is just a simple thing that I oversee somewhere - either in the HC or in Ekos as I´m having the same issue in different KStars versions and different computers. I did tried other combinations in the HC and Ekos (like suggested by ekos 3deg in Ekos and 5 deg in the HC).

I tested a little bit last night before I was imaging and found that my mount did not changed the pier side from West to East before a Target was about HA 00:52 (0.86) after the meridian what is a bit irritating when the max that did set in the HC was 3 deg past Meridian (HA 0.2) and the overall possible maximum should be 10° (HA 0.67)... I´m maybe a bit confused here.
Will give it another try with more time after the meridian and report again. I don´t give up - I guess at some point we´re laughing about my stupididty ;-)

Cheers, Nico

I might be facing the same issue as you regarding the meridian flip, but before I look deeper into this there is something I can't get right. And that's the time between the mount and Kstars.

First the hand controller settings are as follow:

correct UK time when I took the pictures

DST set to N

Meridian flip set to 3°

Behaviour set to stop (is that correct?)

Second, Kstars:

site info box ticked

Mount updates Kstars

iEQ Site management report UTC and not UTC+1

Time disagreement between Kstars and actual time

I cannot upload another picture, but the Geographic UT offset is set to 1 and DST set to none

Don't set the hand controller to "stop" but set it to "flip". Also make sure to set the "Flip if HA > " to a value SMALLER than the hand controller. This is most easily done when set to degrees. In fact, set the hand controller to the maximum of 10 minutes and set Ekos to, say, 3 minutes.

You probably wanted to write "set the hand controller to the maximum of 10 degrees and set Ekos to, say, 3 degrees".

Mine is set to 4 degrees and 2 degrees. No problem with that. The mount (CEM25P also) flips every time.

Your location suggests you are somewhere in the Eifel, just North of Frankfurt. The UTC offset would be +2 as DST is still in effect there.

In the Mount tab, you tick the box HA > and then enter 2 DEGREES. Forget hours and minutes. Too confusing.

I have two locations.
The observatory is in Germany (North of Frankfurt) and that works fine, controlled from the UK.
The CEM25p is here in the UK for testing, and I cannot get the Kstars time match the mount time, it's bugging me.

I THINK I CRACKED IT !!!
The bottom left corner reports the time in UTC, well I believe that's the case.

The actual location reported in Ekos matches the hand controller, and the time seems to be correct in the Indi tab / iEQ

UTC = GMT
2020-10-01T18:18:46 = UTC
2020-10-01T19:18:46 = BST (GMT+1h)

How did you manage to get the info for the pier side?
I do not have this on my side and I wonder if this has an effect on the meridian flip.

Just realised something there, you mount tab shows iOptron CEM25 while mine shows iEQ
