SEP Multistar best practices: Faster exposures?

I would not say that shorter exposures are better when using multi-star. It is rather that with multi-star you can use short(er) exposures without suffering too much from chasing the seeing, because that one filters out part of the (differential) motion effects. But shorter exposures are IMO only useful if your mount behaves bad, and needs tight control not to drift off. Well-behaved mounts can easily be guided with intervals between 5 and 10s, and there the long exposure will already do a lot to average out seeing. For those kind of mounts, you definitely do not want to go for shorter exposures, as that would increase the seeing influence.
