Starting point using ASI EAF?

I just received my ASI EAF so I will start learn autofocusing.
My scope is a Skywatcher Evostar 80ED and camera ASI 294MC Pro.

Looking into the Eko's focuser-tab makes me a bit confused. I don't understand the Detection-selecttion (Gradient, Centroid ...), the SEP Profile and Algorithm.
Is there a "best-practice" setting to start with and take it from there? And how to proceed if it doesn't work as good as I expect
I don't find any documentation.

Regards

Hi Håkan,
The focus section of the kstars handbook is a good place to start...
