Unlikely. What happening when you have more than serial device and the port was not set correctly under "Connections". I starts auto-search but this can conflict with other drivers who are trying to connect to the same port. Let's approach this one-step at a time. Try first without anything else connect and then we'll go from there.

I updated and upgraded, rebooted and I have connected it directly in each of the usb ports and it is has given me the same error on each attempt. With only the Focuscube attached.

Did you use the Nightly PPA?

Hi,
I tried with the nightly build and it works like a charm. Driver supports both DMFC and FocusCube (tested)
Can you check if you have the correct version?

I just grabbed today's Nightly and the FocusCube finally connected! It took a minute to connect and now it is working as advertised! Thank you for your help, I really appreciate all that you have done to make such a great program.

Thanks to everyone whose has worked on this software.

I have not been able to get my Pegasus FocusCube working either. It will not connect. Looks like the wrong driver for a Macbook running High Sierra 10.13 and Ekos 2.9.8 with Indigo Server 3.5. As the name suggests, the Pegasus DualMotorFocusController driver looks like it is designed for the seperate controller and motor, not the FocusCube.
Any help would be great. Thanks

The Pegasus DMC is the driver you want for the focus cube, it’s the same thing, just made all in one small unit... :)

I have that driver selected. FocusCube is powered on, with green light and connected via ASI294 camera usb hub. Also tried straight from focuscube to laptop with no luck. The hand controller moves the focus no problem. Their is no communication with the laptop. I do not have a windows or raspberry device to check. Below is an error log:

2018-11-07T03:47:06: [ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/cu.usbserial-PA2QHA62). Error: Port failure Error: Resource busy. Check if device is connected to this port.

Have you tried mapping the serial port with the INdI serial port manager, that might help... :)
Also have you loaded the latest USB driver from the Pegasus site ....

Astronerd:

I've tried the three different ports that indi finds to try connecting to the focus cube but none work. It is also set to search automatically. If their is another method please point me to it?
I did not realize you can update drivers on a mac osx. From the pegasus site under this product their are usb drivers for windows but not for mac. I've downloaded indigo server 3.5 from cloudmakers but that did not fix anything. In fact, even inside astroimager (a program by cloudmakers) that device would not connect.
Where would I find these drivers for the pegasus focuscube?
Thanks for your help btw. You can image how many people are looking to figure this exact senerio out.
