How to operate "LE Pyxis" with Kstars
I just got my "The Pyxis" for my telescope.
and I'd read, I think there was a driver for it.
But I can't find it, so can anyone order "The Pyxis" from Kstars?
Thank you and have a nice day.
When creating a profile you can find "Pyxis" in the "Aux" menu.
RPi3, Ubuntu Mate, and many Arduinos..
so I saw, but I got an error message.
2020-03-14T20:49:24: [ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/ttyUSB0). Error: Port failure Error: No such file or directory. Check if device is connected to this port.
Yet my PC finds it
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 10c4:85b6 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. USB ROTATOR - PYXIS LE
so I tried, but it doesn't change anything.
How do I find the right port for kstars?
Because when I scan from kstars it doesn't find anything!
Is there any way to know where to force kstars to find the usb port?
[ 2.302835] hid-generic 0003:10C4:85B6.0002: hiddev1,hidraw1: USB HID v1.01 Device [OPTEC INC. USB ROTATOR - PYXIS LE] on usb-0000:00:15.0-3/input0
you all want what comes out of the order to see?
PS : another thing, then what Rotator and driver Pyxis is doing in Kstars.
so after two email reminders to optec, I got a response from them.
I'll copy it to you.
INDI uses hidapi for HID support on Linux. Hidapi does not currently support all the required functions for the PyxisLE to communicate. I have added one of the two required functions to the official libusb version of hidapi and am working on the second. Once that is available we will be able to provide the required information for INDI to support the PyxisLE.
We do have a beta Alpaca driver for Linux that will be available shortly.
Do you think he's gonna do this on short notice, or is this just a marketing response?
I mean, I hope they're a serious team.
If they keep their commitment, it'll give them some good publicity.
And I'll be sure to get good publicity for them...
