What lens is attached to the Canon camera in the pictures? Lovely image too!

The lens is a 100-400 f/4-5.6 II, great lens. I have a 500 f/4 I am going to to, but I wanted to make sure I had everything dialed in before using that one.

My remote observatory usually looks like this during the season :)

After two seasons with HEQ5 I recently upgraded the mount to EQ8.

All equiment on the scope is connected to the Rigrunner and Startech 7-port USB3 hub, so there are only two cables coming off. Too bad EQ8 doesn't have internal cable routing, but this hasn't been an issue. Normally there would be Atik 383L+ hanging there, but I changed it to ASI178MC for planetary/lunar imaging for the summer.

Running the show is an UDOO X86 Ultra SBC with Ubuntu 19.04 in the grey box. Recently I also bought the Aviosys IP-Power switch, used relay on the ScopeDome controller before, but it had some issues with very cold weather.

I have made some updates to my remote observatory, I swapped the two linear actuators for a single one.
The new one has twice the lifting force (from 75KG to 150KG), it is longer and the most important part is that it is way quieter, a difference of 8 db from a full opening ~ closing session. Now you need to pay attention to the lid actually opening as you can barely hear it.
I might add again a second one, to make it even quieter, to average out the load...

Here is my setup. Sellarmate running RP 3+ is in the blue labeled box, AC power adpter is in little bigger box aside. Mount CEM 40, scopes Celestron Edge HD 8 with 0,7 reducer, Guider scope is no-name Chinese cheapo similar to ZWO scope 60mm/ 240 FL . Cameras are ASI 1600MMC and 120 MM, Starizona Microtouch focuser strapped with cable ties undrer the HD8, Dew straps on both cameras + shield. ZWO Mini EFW ,LRGB filters are from ZWO, narrowbands from Baader.
All that connected via Cat5 cable to router. Accessing via Win 7 PC using EKOS.
The current glitch I,m working on is the CEM 40 does not co-oporate with EKOS internal guider for some reason, using theStellarmate's PHD2 for now.
The dark nights just begun (Lat 59N), so few days more after the Moon is gone, Fire at will!
Software Maxim DL 5 Pro, Startools and PS

Vey nice remote observatory! Wondering what you use as outside panels. They seem light and water resistant with the added bonus of not requiring painting.

Thanks.

Thanks, I use some aluminium composite material panels for the box, the frame is wood.
All panels can be removed with strict minimum effort.

Here is my setup.

Looks a bit messy still but I now only have to attach a single 12V power supply (Battery or mains).

Raspberry Pi running Indi connects to a dedicated Wifi router. Kstars / EKOS running on an old Macbook Air.
Pegasus personal powerbox. Provides all the power and the power/logic for the dew strips.
USB 3 powered hub.
The 2 BECs provide 5 V for the USB hub and the Pi.
Scope is a SkyWatcher Esprit 100.
Focusser is a PrimaLuce Senso Sesto.
Guide scope is the converted finder scope from my 8" dob.
You cannot see it on the pictures but I also have an iPolar (best non essential piece of kit I have bought).
All supported by a belt modified HEQ5.
Camera is a non modified EOS 6D and I am currently using a STC Dual narrowband filter (Ha and OIII).

It did take a while to get everything working reliably but now it only takes me about 15 minutes to get everything ready to take the first image.
