Here is a photograph of my Indi setup. It consists of:

An OnStep modified Astro-Physics AP400 mount;
An ODROID N2 computer running Ubuntu, KStars, EKOS and Indi server;
A RPI running as a hotspot;
A ZWO ASI1600 camera and Zagyl filter wheel;
A Pegasus Astro DFMC focuser and Power Box;
All this on a home made telescope cart (missing a wheel :-) ) that will allow me to roll it out of the garage and get ready for observing/astrophoto within minutes.

The OnStep controller is the grey box mounted on a small plexiglass sheet, attached to the tripod leg. The cart design was an adaptation of one, presented by the BBC Sky at Night Magazine (www.skyatnightmagazine.com/advice/build-...ing-telescope-dolly/).

AT6RC Telescope with CCDT67 telecompressor at around 914mm focal length.

My setup. Puny AZ-GTi (but I like it very much) in EQ mode.
UPD: added a second 6Ah battery to feed ZWO cameras separately from RPI.

Before I go through my setup, I just wanna say wow, some of the stuff on here is amazing. Well done everyone!!

This is what I have:

- RPI3B+
- Losmandy G11
- Stellarvue 80mm F/6 APO
- Atik 383L+
- QHY5II with Orion 50mm guiding scope
- Pegasus focuser
- Flip-Flat
- QHY Polemaster
- Pegasus Ultimate powerbox to juice everything up :)

I know it's a lot and I know I really need to control the rat's nest of cables. With this I'm able to completely take all my light flats and darks from indoors. I setup the scheduler before it gets too dark, and watch it for a bit to make sure nothing funny happens. I the morning I check the logs then go upstairs to cover everything up. Now if we can get a couple of clear nights.... :-D

- Mount: iOptron CEM25P on 2-inch tripod
- OTA: Orion ST120, f/5
- Guide scope: Orion mini 50mm
- Imaging camera: ZWO ASI385MC (colour) + ZWO IR-CUT filter + Celestron UHC/LPR Filter
- Gude camera: ZWO ASI120MM Mini (mono)
- Auto-focuser: ZWO EAF
- INDI: Raspberry PI 3b with INDI-server and INDI server manager, over wi-fi
- Imaging software: KStars/Ekos

Hi all, just thought I’d share my latest creation to further simplify the number of components in my setup.

So, my current rig requires 3 devices for my imaging session.

1. A computer to run kstars/ekos (I currently use the Asus tinker board)
2. A powered USB hub (because my USB3 cameras suck too much power and the Tinker box would not run them without additional power)
3. Astroberry focuser (running in server mode with a Raspberry Pi 0W) which connects to Asus tinker board via indiserver) to focus.

My mount connects to the Asus Tinker Board via Wifi. Eventhing is controller by remote desk topping.

My latest creation is the "ultimate" single box device which uses the current Raspberry Pi 4 (4G version) computer. It eliminates the Astroberry focuser running in server mode and the powered USB hub. Everything is inside a HighPi Rapsberry Pi 4 enclosure (see raspberry.piaustralia.com.au/products/hi...ry-pi-4-model-b-case).

I also installed a cooling fan and heat sinks to keep everything cool. Under full load I'm only seeing temperature of 59 degree C with ambient temp of about 26 degree C.

I have all the wiring for the Astroberry focuser which runs a DRV8825 motor controller connected to the Rpi4 GPIO. I also fitted a 12VDC to 5VDC 5Amp buck converter inside, which powers both the Rpi4 (i soldered the power supply directly to the RPi4 board, do this at your own risk!! see picture) and the Astroberry focuser.

I connect my Astroberry focuser to the motor using RJ12 plug.

And that's it. Everything runs beautifully and I reckon this is the ultimate mobile rig.

I use C8SE with AVX. Pi4 with Astroberry, and 5GHz router for a faster communication, Celestron SkySync GPS, Shoestring with Motofocus autofocus, OAG with ASI120MM Mini (mono) as a guide camera, Celestron f/6.3 reducer, and Canon T3i as capture camera.
Also, I use Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 240, 240Wh as the power source with passthrough capability, and finally, an IR IP camera for remote monitoring.

I would like to share the setup that I installed recently, when I retired.

I live in the French Alps at an altitude of 800m. Light pollution is limited to the West from a middle size city at 30km.

I had the opportunity to buy a used Sirius 2.3m dome. The rotation of the dome is slaved to the scope. The shutters are opened manually.

The dome is equipped with a Celestron EdgeHD 11” optical tube assembly + a Celestron CGE Pro mount.

I run all my astrophotography under macOS which is quite possible nowadays (www.macobservatory.com). As software I use the excellent KStars of course, and Siril (www.siril.org).

I record only color frames (color camera ZWO ASI1600 cooled).

I can control everything from home through screen sharing.

Advice : if you don’t have time and money, please do not go into this adventure !
