I am a newbie to Indi. I have installed ekos on my Win10 machine and run it under Virtualbox.
This may sound like a stupid question. I have connected my QHY8 ccd camera and taken some test images but I can't see where on my hard drive it has saved them. I have done a complete search without success. Is it because the files are not created in the Windows environment and if so how do I access them?
You mean you installed Ekos VM? If yes then unless you changed the default directory, it should save to your home directory. It creates directory for image type (Light, Bias..etc) and then look under that.
They wont be saved on the windows filesystem, they are saved inside the VM's filesystem. KDE linux as something that looks like windows-exporer. open that up inside the VM and you should see your files in your home dir under 'light'
