Does Stellarmate load all the files for plate solving or do I have to load manually just the ones for my scopes and camera combos...??
I am very tempted to buy Stellarmate, but if the driver for the Pegasus ultimate hub does not come to fruition, it wont work for me as that is at the centre of my set up, so might wait and see if that comes before I buy....
Also what benefits are there with Stellarmate over just installing Ubuntu mate and the Indi driver library..?
Sorry for all the questions
StellarMate comes preinstalled with astrometry.net index files. You can install everything yourself on RPI3. StellarMate is mostly for new users who want to use a ready-made system with everything packaged and properly tested. It's also a way to show support for Ekos development.

Happy new year...
So,with your set up, controlling g using your Windows machine over the network, do you have any issues with guiding as I have read that it can get delayed when used over the network..and people use PHD2 instead...any thoughts on this..?
Also used the other way by having all on the RPi3 and using Kstars on the RPi3 how do you then connect to the rpii3 and see the software, as you wont have any software on your PC, would i need teamviewer or similar to connect..?
Olly
My observatory is located on the roof and I have Gigabit LAN so guiding was never an issue for me. Granted, if you have network delays, you can opt to run PHD2 on StellarMate/RPI3 and have it guide from there (so no network transfers) and still use Ekos from your main machine to do everything else.
Thanks, so if I have it all running on the RPi3 how do I log onto that from my Main PC to control it, via teamviewer or something similar..? By this I mean to have the Kstars and Ekos on the RPi3 and not the Main PC..
