Hi,
something is wrong with solver module of ekos. I slewed my mount, taken a 10s picture with my 550D and it solved the first time,
Then, slew to the target and when it tries to solve the second time, it tells me that it can't expose while CCD exposures is in progress???
Had to kill the indiserver and restart. And again the same problem.

Using latest version of indi/drivers on latest kstars (2.9.3)

The log file does not contain Alignment logging. Turn off FITS logging and turn on alignment logging.

I have tried it again and noticed that this info is not being logged at all!
Altough I have selected all options and debug is verbose and sent to file.
When I quit Kstars and return debug option "INDI" is unselected, so kstars is not saving this option.
If I enabled it again and have another try, I doesnt get logged on file! In the 2 logs I tried there's no logging info on the Solve.

Here some screenshots and text acquired on solver window.

Please use the "Logs" button in Ekos main screen. I need to remove this old option from settings.

Ok now I got it right!

You can simulate it taking a photo, try to solve it or just wait for the solver timeout. It happens in bother situations:
After the first successful solve or timeout. It also happens on MacOSX version (2.9.3). Just tested.

I agree with you those debug options are confusing on the settings page. They should be removed.

I am having the same issue.

Canon 650D, and the first solve works fine. If I take images later, then any solve will say 'exposure in progress', and the only workaround is to stop INDI and start it again, then I can solve once.

Xubuntu 16.04 on Core2 laptop.

Actually, I found the issue and released a new GPhoto driver it should be in the PPA in about 1 hour from this post time.

Got the new release: version is: 1.7~201803052135~ubuntu16.04.1

Now when I start taking an exposure for Plate Solving, it says 'capturing 4 second exposure', and keeps going forever. I hit Stop, then try again, and I am back to the 'exposure is in progress' message repeating over and over.

Same here, taking an exposure and stops at 2 secs forever.... and it hangs the camera completely,
Have to shut the camera off and kill indiserver process.
