I recall someone mentioned that Celestron requires "nudging" to get it to work reliably with alignment module and there were even some efforts to code this in but nothing in production. Never had issues here with EQMod (HEQ5 and EQ8).

Yup. I’m using the classic HEQ Pro with EQMOD driver. The problem has been present for the last 2 releases I think

Edit. Via hand controller in direct pc mode.

Can you share logs? INDI+Mount+Align need to be checked in the Ekos logs dialog.

Looks like we're in luck. I actually do have a log, attached ...

Thanks. I see you used Ekos PAA tool first then proceeded to solve. I will try to replicate this in my observatory tonight, but can you double check this:
[2018-06-15T21:48:03.417 EDT INFO ][ org.kde.kstars.indi] - EQMod Mount : "[INFO] Setting UTC Time to 2018-06-16T01:48:02, Offset -4 "
[2018-06-15T21:48:03.421 EDT INFO ][ org.kde.kstars.indi] - EQMod Mount : "[INFO] updateLocation: long = -74.365 lat = 45.1306 "

Is this information correct?

Yes, I believe so. That is the daylight savings time and lat/long near Montreal, Canada for that night.
