Weather Services was created by Michael

Hi,

I'm on the way of moving towards an full INDI environment. At that point I struggled on two items I had with ascom running: SQM Sky quality meter and Weather services.

For some reason the tutorial on SQM does not work. I made the steps like the are described, but nothing on metering happens.

Second: There are no more free API keys on weather underground available. Does somebody has open weather etc. running on INDI ?

Thanks in advance,

Michel

What's the problem with SQM? I have SQM unit here and it's working fine. What tutorial are you referring to?
Is there any "open weather" service available?

Jasem,
the tutorial is: indilib.org/develop/indiforjava/i4jdrivers/sqm-lu-driver.html
Yes, there is an open weather service available under: api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather

Michel,

That tutorial is for INDI for Java. For the standard INDI library, SQM is already included. Have you tried that?

Jasem,

you're right. I tested it without this, just running EKOS from Stars. Still no connection. I try to check TTYUSBX settings, but it would be nice if you could show your settings.

For the weather service: That would be great, but please take you're time. Many thanks for it!

Please enable INDI + Auxiliary logging in Ekos and then try to connect again and attach the log.

Hi Jasem,

for some reason now I get the measurements. Why it did not work last 3 time, I don't know. Attached the log. There are some warnings in, but related to other things.
My observations with EKOS so far: When starting INDI Server with auto connect Mostly every second case not all equipment will connect. If I do the second time manually, they work. The upmost critical is SQM (as I had the problem) and MBOX driver as well. This one hardly connect the first time, but can always be connected the second time. The CCD and Telescope drivers work flawless. Never seen a missing first connect.

Could this behavior be tuned (number of automatic reconnects, waiting time, etc.)

With MBOX driver I always get a temperature warning, regardless which temperature limits I had entered.Michel

I suspect it could be to serial search collision. Set "Auto Search" to off and save config. I presume you already assigned permanent designations to all your serial devices?

Auto search is off for every device and as you presumed permanent designations to all serial device are made.

Any further hint ?
