In comparison, Intel CPU Ubuntu is the most stable.

At ARM, RPi 3 is now stable, but at the beginning it was very unstable.

In this report, NanoPiM 4 (ARM 64 bit, lubuntu 18.04), ARM 64 bit version system and OS version is 18.04, I feel that correspondence has not advanced yet.
(There are also some applications that can not be installed.)

Overview

Trouble with NanoPi M4 (lubuntu 18.04, 64 bit OS)

1. You can not switch languages.
(All necessary drivers for switching Kde - 10, installed language pack etc are installed)

Because PHD 2 and other languages change, I think that it is a problem of Kstar & Ekos. (There was a similar problem with previous OSX version.)

2. The ZWO driver does not work.

It is confirmed with ASI120MC.
Here I confirmed with the driver of LinGuider, PHD 2, but that did not work at all.

Since the system is 18.04, ARM 64 bit version, optimization seems to be inferior to other environments.

I hope it will be fixed at the time of updating.

The fact that the ASI120MC doesn't work is not because of INDI (i.e. the dirver) but because the Linux kernel doesn't accept the USB packets sent by the camera. ASI themselves admit that this is an issue and recommend to upgrade the camera to ASI120MC-S, which is USB3 and fully functional on Windows, Linux and Mac.

Mr. wvreeven

ASI120MC had a problem at the initial stage of Unix type OS, but it is somewhat unstable, but at present it is operating in most environments.

For ARM type CPU, it is 16.04 and it operates with 32 bit OS.
(RPi 3, OrengePi)

With the INTEL type CPU, it can also operate on 16.04 and 64 bit systems.

I also own a MAC.
At first, we did not correspond, but now it works with the efforts of the development team.

ARM 64 bit system, 18.04 Seems to be causing problems.
(There was something that could not install other astronomical software as well.
I wrote the result I installed on the thread of Nanopi M4. )

Ubuntu of the ARM type seems to take time to stabilize.....

Well, I can only repeat what the vendor of the camera said. They admit that it has a problem and that flashing the firmware may solve the issue. But they also do not guarantee that the issue will be solved and recommend to buy a USB3 version of the camera. Once more, the product is faulty because it doesn’t follow the USB2 standard. This is not the fault of INDI. It is up to you to do with it what you want but don’t expect a fix in the INDI driver because there is none.

Currently, ASIUSB 2 products are running on OSX and Linux, but the manufacturer truncated them. I think the effort of INDI driver developers was much bigger than previous firmware upgrades.
(INDI developers always do a great job.)

The correspondence with the UNIX type OS of the Chinese vendor such as ZWO and QHY was not so good.

Since it already operates in other environments, consider it as a motion report in ARM 64, 18.04.

There is additional information on defects after trying to use.

· You can not enlarge by dragging Live Video screen with Canon DSLR.

The current problem in Ubuntu 18.04, ARM 64 system is

1. The language environment can not be changed. (Fixed by Nightly)

2. ZWO ASI120MC and other ZWO's USB2 camera can not be used even if firmware is replaced.
(It works on other machines, it did not work at nightly.)

3. Can not enlarge by dragging Live Video screen with Canon DSLR.

These were the three points.
I think that more users using SBC of ARM 64 will increase in future, so please correct it when possible at the time of version upgrade.

It seems that the defect of the driver was fixed in this version upgrade.

Only localization is not working.
