I have already started creating the new operating system for the project "Astronomy Linux". It's not a fork of other famous Linux operation systems.
Project based on open instructions LFS and BLFS www.linuxfromscratch.org

This operation system is the realization of my dream as Linux user since 2008.

It's not a commercial project.
It's the gift for all.

This looks interesting. Would you be able to incorporate the kernel patch that is supposed to fix the USB 2.0 compatibility issues on Linux for certain ZWO cameras?

Dear Oleg,

This looks very impressive, but if I may ask, what is the advantage to the users to have a dedicated OS? Is it for instance slimmer and faster, or has any additional features?

Apologies for asking, my knowledge about OSs is certainly not advanced.

Best, Helge
