Recently i created a Facebook Group in German Language for KStars/EKOS/INDI.
There were a few interested people there quite fast.
One of them contacted me with a Problem right at the start.
He installed KStars and made a profile with his EQMod Mount and ASI cam.
He is running the system on a Laptop connected direct via USB.
The Problem is that the button "LOCAL" where you choose if you want to run local or remote, is greyed out.
Can someone tell what the problem is? Why is the button greyed out?
cheers
Niki

INDI drivers don't work under Windows so using local mode is not possible. There are a few threads here about using a Linux VM and run INDI drivers there, but that usually doesn't work with cameras as they are very sensitive to USB access and virtualization messes that up. Easiest solution would be to either dual boot to Linux or use StellarMate or other Raspberry Pi -like device to run the drivers.
