That is correct the profiles contents and their names must match. If you have the web manager checkbox clicked though it will send the profile to the web manager or update it as needed.
It doesn’t matter if the remote computer is a pi or a laptop, it works the same way.
Yeah nightly build on the linux laptop. But not on mac, as there are none.
anyway, i managed that it works now so i just keep that working profile.

I think the OS is not relevant. Works OK anywhere...
The telescopes you show here all are not very light-sensitive imho. But i don´t know them so maybe they all are ok...
