Location of device profiles?

Hi!

Where are the device profiles and Ekos profiles that I set up, stored? I'm doing backups of my Stellarmate (my SD-cards frequently fails...) and thought I should preserve these separately so as to facilitate new re-installations on new SD-cards.

So: where do I find them on the Stellarmate?

INDI profiles are in the .indi directory in your home directory.
KStars files are in the .local/share/kstars directory in your home directory.

Please note that file managers on Linux usually hide directories and files starting with a . (dot) so you may need to change that in the file manager settings or use a terminal.

To be precise, the profiles are stored in .local/share/kstars/userdb.sqlite

You’re right! The INDI driver options are in the .indi directory.

The StellarMate tools "backup" also backs these files for you.

It's on the StellarMate Desktop. It's called "StellarMate Tools".

Obviously. I was going through the menus and the Stellarmate website... and there it was, right before my eyes.
Thanks!

While being at this - these quite frequent faillures, where the R-Pi goes into panic mode - any ide what causes that? And my SD cards seems to fail, so that I cannot write a new disk image on them (that is, Disc utility in Ubuntu reports IO-failure when trying to restore a disk image).

How about using a new SD card? 32GB+ is best.

Btw, I am testing now StellarMate OS v1.4.0, would like you try give that a go? It's still in beta though.

Hi!

Yes, I'm using new cards, but they seem to become corrupted quite quickly, that's the problem. I wonder if I'm doing something bad to them...

And yes, I'd be happy to try! :)
