Okay - wasted a day yesterday. Here's what I'm trying to do. I want to install ASTROBERRY on my NUC. BUT - I want to install my version that I've been tweaking on my PI for the past couple days. (some fixes) lots of updates, themes added utils etc.
I pulled the mSD and flashed it to a .iso. Shouldn't that just install in place of the original astroberry.img? If so, will there be a "INSTALL" link? I want it on the nuc but I don't want to go through the hour(s) of tweaks.

OH really. no wonder! So if I take my PI image (modified astroberry) and I write it to a ISO from the SD card. I can't use that back in the PI either? I'm trying to backup my mods/updates?
I installed MINT on the PC in the dome, and I want to put astroberry over mint. Is that possible? (I suspect I'll then need a different ISO from Radek?

Yes, if you make a back up image of your rpi, then yes you can put that image back on an rpi, I always keep a back up image when mine is all up and running perfectly, BUT you can’t use that same image on another platform like a PC..
And no you can’t put it on a Linux Mint PC, although both are Linux based the rpi is different coding ....
The only limit on ports is what the hardware has unless you plan to attach thousands of devices. And if your hardware doesn't have enough physical ports then you can get by with USB hubs. The internal (hardware) communication buses of the USB 3 ports may slow down if there is a lot of communication over it so you'll need to balance your hardware well, meaning to make sure to connect communication intensive devices to individual ports. For instance try to avoid having two cameras on the same port especially if one of them is for guiding. But I suppose that is a matter of trial and error.
