Hello,

I read with glee about the issue with the Indi - EQMOD not recognising the TTYUSB0 when the ASTROEQ is sitting on another TTY device. The resolution was a using a different VCGENCMD bios for the BROADCOM chip. Well, that was 4 years ago and several AstroEQ updates. I went to AstroBerry coming from a now defunct iAstroHUB. This had the same problem under RaspBerry 3.0 B. The RaspBerry 3.0 B+ is no different.

What has been discussed in the passed was membership of Dialout. The AstroBerry has that covered. The current version is 2018 dated. One would expect the problems of the past are over. But, the problem is seems to be perpetuated. Swapping USB connections does not change the problem. The RS232 connection is over /dev/ttyACM0. Aliasing ACM0 to USB0 does not work.

This works fine under Windows 10 Creator's edition +. What other options for the Raspberry PI 3 B+ are there available?

Best regards,
John

Hello,

This topic is closed. A symlink of TTYACM0 to TTYUSB0 resolved the issue of /dev/ttyUSB0 not defined.
