I wanted to reset my Mac install of KStars today so I removed the ~/.indi and ~/Library/Application Support/kstars directories. To my big surprise, when i started KStars it still had my old location! I tried searching the mycitydb.sqlite file with the Finder but couldn't find it. Also a "find ~/Library -name mycitydb.sqlite" and a "/Applications/kstars.app -name mycitydb.sqlite" from a terminal didn't get any results.

So, where is the mycitydb.sqlite residing on a Mac system?

Don't you have a ~/.local/share too on OSX? I don't have a precise idea how it works on that platform, but that's where kstars stores things on Linux.

There is a ~/.local/share and it’s one of the places I looked but it doesn’t contain a kstars directory. On Mac this is supposed to be in ~/Library/Application Support and there is a kstars directory there but no mycitydb.sqlite there.
