Possible to install INDILib under Debian Buster on 64bit Intel? was created by philpugh51

I would like to install INDILib on my Debian Intel laptop (64 bit). This is running Debian 10.0 "stable".

I tried the install process for Ubuntu (which normally works for other applications) but get this...

phil@phil-astro-laptop:~$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa

What am I missing - should there be something else installed first?

The ppa concept only works on Ubuntu and does not work on Debian. The only way to install INDI on Debian is to compile it yourself.

Thanks - I realised this was THE solution shortly after posting !! I have since built 1.7.9 and it appears to be working as expected!
