Ok I just pushed a change to the repo. Can you see if this works better?

So the issue was that the code that I wrote worked great as long as the kstars and indi directories didn't exist, but if they did, it got put into sub directories.

No, it’s just putting the complete saved folder in the restore folder, instead of just replacing the files with the new ones...
Basically doing the same as before....
The script is asking to save the KstarsData, and then it’s putting that complete folder into the folder specified in the restore section...

Not sure if I am making sense...

Ok I just went back to the old command but added a delete first. Please try it again, thanks.

It’s deleting the “Kstars” folder and creating one called KstarsData...so my system is a bit messed up, so cant do any more testing until I sort... :(
Thanks for trying to sort this.. :)

I don’t think deleting the folder first is the right Approach..but then what do I know... :) I couldn’t do what you do.
So for now I will just manually copy the files over...

Hmm, I will check it out. But I just tried it and it worked. . .but I will look at it again. Maybe I made a mistake, but I don't think I did.

I mean honestly, thats all it does is copy files. . . so yeah you can manually do it.

I have a thought. Perhaps you put the wrong folder path to restore into the script?

No, I did that correctly, I made sure of that, if you don’t it does not work at all...and throws an error before it’s even run...
It’s just copying the whole folder into the restore folders, and not just the files
I can do it manually....no worries... :)

I just updated my Raspbian setup with the script and the issue with PHD2 not compiling the additional drivers remained. So I deleted the old build folders and ran the script once more. That time it worked out. So all we need in the script is a little house cleaning before recompiling it.

EKos now has the option to use sextractor. I propose adding it to the installation script.
