I closed a working session of KStars, mount was already outside, so it stayed powered on, moved my PC also outside, reconnected and KStars crashes repeatedly a couple of seconds after startup.

I attached 2 logs from the bug reporting tool, hope it helps to pin it down.

Can I delete any of the config files to get it to start again? If yes, please advise which and where.

I deleted the kstars folder in home/.local/share and now it starts again, had configure again, but that's always better than no KStars ;-)

I copied the folder before deleting, so if anyone does find out what's wrong, maybe I can salvage some.

And it happened again, but now I have more info, I was streaming live video from my ASI1294MC Pro with debayering on while a crash happened.
After the crash the same symptoms as before, crash a couple seconds after startup.

Hope this helps...

The backtrace is useful. It shows crashing when calling translatedName... but I couldn't reproduce it when I tried changing language to German and then randomly selecting targets.

What target was selected in the skymap? or nothing at all?

@knro
The Target selected was the Moon, but I was slewing slowly with the Mount Controls.
And I run KStars in English, so I don't know why it wants to translate.

If it's handy, we can schedule a convenient time for you and you can generate the crash yourself in teamviewer.

Update, I avoided the live stream, but had other crashes.

I found out it happened while loading images to the Skymap. So I un-installed some of the add-ons I had installed in the 'Data - Download New Data' menu and the crash never happened again.

My guess: It was one of those add-ons.
