Hi,
thinking about switching from windows to Manjaro. I tried the installation method shown on the download page here, but I get the message that "yaourt" is an unknown command. It seems that yaourt is no longer part of Manjaro. As a very new person to Linux, can anyone advise how to install Kstars and Indi on Manjaro?
Yaourt is deprecated and went off Manjaro's distro, you should use YAY to replace it so I have found this for you searching on google: Don't forget Google is yours best friend!
By the way, why don't you use others distros ? I think about Ubuntu, largely supported here for a novice and really easy to work with.
Thanks Gerard,
I shifted to Linux Mint and haven't had any issues at all. I really liked Manjaro, but as a newbee to Linux I found it required too much knowledge that a Linux beginner doesn't have. Very happy now.
Thanks,
Gary
