Kstars Ethernet to Stellarmate stuck on Polaris

Kstars Ethernet to Stellarmate stuck on Polaris was created by Leo Menestrina

I am running Kstars on my Dell windows 10 laptop. I am cat5 connected to a Raspberry Pi running Stellarmate. Ekos setup and connect all show green, but the telescope CWD pointing to the south pole shows to be pointing to the north pole. How do I sync to the south pole? Oh, the mount responds to nsew slew commands so it is connected.

What mount do you have? Did you set up location and timezone in KStars correctly? Did you do a 3 star alignment with the mount? The latter is necessary for almost all mounts except for SynScan-type mounts that are connected either via the hand controller or via EQMod.

I suspect you have not configured your geographic location in KStars.
