Every time I turn around there is an update for these.  Why?

It did it again. The revision numbers are just a date. Does the driver have a rolling code like a garage door opener? Is that why they need to be updated so often?

If you're using nightly/beta channel, they're built daily so that's why.

That still doesn't explain why these two, among all the other packages, update at 10x the frequency.

And how do I get off the daily build version and go to stable build please?

I'm not on the nightly build repository, but I am on stable. libmallincam still appears to be an update several times a week.
Perhaps it is set to rebuild more often then other packages in the stable repo??

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this issue.  I changed my 'check for updates' frequency so all software updates come at a lower frequency.

It was that or sudo apt uninstall libmallincam.

Just seems like a waste of resources.

Thanks for the report, it's fixed and set to "Update on Request' like the rest of stable packages.
