Ok - I am testing this indoors (no stars this week). I think the mount IS tracking, but the Alt and Az values are not being updated in either the Mount TAB
or the Setup TAB.
When instruments start to depart from reality what do you believe ?

Are you sure you updated indi too?
You're close to the meridian. Slew somewhere else and try again?

Why would being near the meridian change anything ? Az is still changing.
Yes it did a flip after 20mins. The new Alt and AZ appear but then not updated after this.
The mount appears to be tracking but in order to view Altitude, Az I have to pull up
INDI control panel and look at the Eqmod tab.
I did all available updates. This is the only way to do it. How do you NOT update indi at same time as kstars ?
Also tried using simulator on local workstation (x64 intel) ubuntu 20.04. Same issue. The simulator slews to object and Alt and Az
stay at the slewed position. HA and LST are updating but not AL/AZ.
Never seen this before in 2 years of using kstars/indi.

We have no logs, so just trying to guess.

I guess this is an EKOS problem not an EQmod problem. Didn't work with simulator on local system.
There is nothing unusual in logs.
Just tried it on another system running 5.3.7 that hasn't been updated and works as expected.
The link is just what I have always used.
Bottom line is that it seems to be tracking - no stars this week so cannot check for sure, but annoying that EKOS doesnt show me.
It is odd that "Time to flip", HA and LST are all updating correctly just not ALT and Az values.

Some debug output Ekos 3.5.7 vs 3.5.8 with 3.5.8 on indi server. Only thing I can see is repeated messages on 3.5.8:
QObject: Cannot create children for a parent that is in a different thread.

Seems to be back working on kstars 3.6.0
