INDI Library v2.0.6 is Released (02 Feb 2024)

Bi-monthly release with minor bug fixes and improvements

EQMod for Linux

EQMod for Linux was created by Jasem Mutlaq

EQMod for Linux is here! The driver development started a while ago, but I was able to test it with my Orion Sirius mount (HEQ5) and the results are amazing! Especially if you use it with Ekos, which now completely supports astrometry solver to achieve extremely accurate GOTOs !

To get EQMod now under Ubuntu:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libindi indi-eqmod

And you should be set!

hi :)

I've done some test. My mount is a NEQ5 with "pierro astro" interface. (the one used in France)

indiserver launch well, I connect kstras on indiserver's instance on VM. But then... seems nothing works...

I can give you some access to Vm if you want.

Sure, send me login details in a PM. Is this pierro astro interface the same as EQDirect? How are you connected to the mount exactly?

Mount is plugged on host machine. (linux) and VM is under last Virtualbox. Yep, it's EQDirect interface. (USB one)

Hi knro,

Is the handset needed when using indi eqmod driver?
1 INDI -> EQMOD -> EQDirect -> handset -> mount
2 INDI -> EQMOD -> EQDirect -> mount

Thank you.

But, my friend have problem with the direct connection to the mount HEQ5.
As he described,all work well in windows's eqmod, but with INDI, only work through the handset.
Any idea ?
