I had no problems with plate solve+sync with this driver. Even guiding with Phd2 worked perfectly.
I dint pay attention to slew speed, however changing slew speeds from mount control, did work and slewed at those speed. my goto's were at 600x speed.(yes its noisy)

Hello,
I am new to Ekos. Have AZ-GTI with updated firmware and EQ wedge.
Just bought a StellarMate.
What do I need to do to get the updated driver? (sorry, not very familiar with Linux).
Thanks!

Sorry - a stupid newbie question.
I connected Ekos/Stellarmate to the mount's wifi hotspot.
Stellarmate is connected to my home router for VNC.
This works.
But what do I do in the field - how do I VNC to Stellarmate if its wifi is taken by the mount?
I was hoping to do everything with a single android tablet...
Thanks!

If you put the AZ GTi wifi in station mode ,mount should connect to stellarmate hotspot . By default mount wifi is in hotspot mode .

I use an external wifi dongle with Raspberry Pi ,so can vnc to mount and RPI3 built in wifi connects to AZ GTI.

Well, I got one but it turned out to be not compatible with RPI3...
Can you recommend a dongle which would work?
Thanks!

I have these and they work fine with Rpi3 . I only use dongle because the inbuilt wifi on the RPI3 is not that stable .

Have you tried changing the mode of wifi on AZ GTi to "Station Mode" and see if that works without dongle

I didn't understand your initial mention of the Station Mode.
Now I see that the mount's wifi modes can be switched.
So, I don't need a second wifi adapter, right?
Both mount and vnc can be connected to stellarmate's wifi network. Is this correct?
And you only use an external wifi for PI because it's better that the internal, right?
Thanks!

tkottary,
Thanks for the info! A bit confused though...
I connected to the mount with my phone. Launched SynScan, went into Config/WiFi. Enabled Station Mode. Entered SSID/Pass (stellarmate/stellar@mate).
Now what?
How do I know it's connected to the StellarMate?
If it's connected, what do I enter into Ekos (ip/port)?
Thanks much!
