Hello Forum,
I have tried to use INDI to connect PHD to my Skywatcher EQ8. I can connect it with the driver, but PHD said it is not a valid mount.

What can I do?

I got an answer to my question in the PHD2 Forum at github. This driver is not compatible with PHD and does not support pulseguiding.

@Jasem, maybe this information can be placed on the driver homepage
indilib.org/devices/telescopes/synscan-telescope.html

Indeed, no pulse guide in synscan. But after some recent fixes in both phd2 and indi you can now at least use it as Aux Mount to get pointing and pier side info into PHD2. (needs latest git versions though).

Since SkyWatcher and Celestron mounts are from the same company, I wonder if we can use passthru commands for pulse guiding like we do for celestron in the synscan driver? I might be able to conjure up an experimental patch to see if this can work out.

I'm definitely willing/going to try your magic :D
(now that I have set up git compile of INDI that should be easy to test...)
