Just started using ekos / kstars (as part of stellarmate), When I start ekos, the mount tab always shows (even if the mount is not connected), but if the camera is asleep (as it is fond of doing), then no camera tab appears. Is there any way (other than exiting kstars / ekos and starting it again) to get the camera driver running?
I am using a canon Ra. Kstars 5.3.9, not sure about ekos / indi
I’ve found my sony a7rii seems to go into what may be a sleep state where it won’t show anything on its back screen no matter which buttons I press. Using ekos to take a picture seems to bring it back to life.
You should disable power saving features from within the camera menu when doing astrophotography to avoid such issues. Just manually turn off the camera display when you want.
