Hello,
I do have OS for PI purchased times ago. Now I'd like to try SM X on my Beelink Mini PC. As I correctly understood, previous purchases are invalid. It would be nice to get some sort of % reduction for older/loyal customers...
Too bad there is no dual boot...
I think 49$ is ok for me, I also own the Raspi-Licence for 2 years now. If I look on other astronomy software, which is much more expensive, the SM X is worth the price.
Since I already have a ppa-installation of Kstars on Ubuntu 22.04 (Mele 3Q): wouldnt it be possible to upgrade this ppa to an SM-X-ppa? Isn't the only thing more the link to the Stellarmate app?
Dual Boot:
If the Beelink lets you choose the boot drive on startup (BIOS level), you could flash SMX onto a external SSD and connect it via USB3.
I am running classic SM on such a configuration, but in my case the (small) /boot partition is on the SD card, because the Pi doesn't have a boot selector.
